​​​​​Why do I have to see a Psychologist to be treated for pain management?

Due to House Bill 93 many pain doctors find it beneficial to have a psychological evaluation on file for all new patients.  The evaluations help determine the mental state of the patient due to chronic pain, and help the doctor determine if the patient is a good candidate or if another procedure would be more beneficial.



Is a referral required to be seen by this office?

A referral is not required.  However, any information that could be provided by a referring doctor may aid the psychologist in completing an accurate report.

I would like to check my account balance with your office.  How would I do this?

If you have an outstanding bill with us, our billing department will send you a statement. Our office staff does not have access to account information as of right now, however we are able to process payments.  If you'd like to check the status of your account please call 614-706-5206

How long will it take to get the evaluation report to my referring doctor?

For pain evaluations, the report will be faxed over to your referring doctor within 24 business hours of your appointment.  For bariatric evaluation, the report will be sent to your referring doctor within 2 days of you evaluation and after we have all completed test.

Can you accommodate patients who do not speak English or are visiually or hearing-impaired?

Let us know when we call or you call to schedule that you need an interpreter, and we will provide one at no cost to you!  If you have difficulty reading or hearing, come at least 30 minutes before your appointment and our staff can read out the sets of questions when you arrive.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs!
